National Focus Group on Educational Technology
National Focus Group suggests the use of Technology for improving the quality of education in India. Educational technology is required for the following:
- to revitalize and reorient existing resources (recognizing the potential of ICT)
- to bring systemic reforms (use of technology in equitable and democratic manner)
- to refresh skills of in-service teachers (use of ICT for lifelong professional development and support)
- to provide pre-service teacher training (media and technology enabled training)
- to promote quality of school education (improved access to knowledge, knowledge creation, flexible curriculum content and transaction)
- to promote quality of research
